These classes are always open to the public
The classes are conducted by experienced members of the Society, taking participants from the very beginning of family research and reviewing all sources of information.  Handout materials are provided.

Cost of the entire course is $25.00 for current members of the society and $30.00 for non-members.

Lesson 1: HOW TO BEGIN
Recording information from home sources; use of charts and forms
Lesson 2: LIBRARY& ARCHIVES RESEARCH
Local research facilities, printed sources, note taking & documentation
Lesson 3: NEWSPAPERS, CHURCH, CEMETERY,
MORTUARY AND OTHER DEATH RECORDS
          Locating obituaries and other family information
Lesson 4: CENSUS RESEARCH
Federal & State censuses, indexes and Soundex codes, special censuses and lists

Lesson 5: PUBLIC RECORD SOURCES
           City, County, State & Federal records useful to the genealogist

Lesson 6: HANDS-ON-SESSION
Research trip to the Kansas State Historical Society Center
