SNYDER,
FARRIS
Seeking information on Henry Snyder
b. in Virginia. His age on the 1850 Kentucky census,Whitley County,
is questionable, whether it is age 60 or 45, which makes his
birth 1790 or 1805. Was Henry a grocery merchant in Topeka? Was
Henry the father of Eli SNYDER and his siblings or a brother?
Eli SNYDER's will of March 1886 confirms the then living family – Mary
OSBORN; Matthew SNYDER; John SNYDER; Elizabeth SNYDER niece;
James SNYDER nephew; and Rosannah Elizabeth MAUNEY. Eli SNYDER
purchased a cemetery plot in Auburn Cemetery, Shawnee County
of which their are nine burials.
Seeking information on two burials – Anna Rebeccah SNYDER born 15 December
1818, died 29 August 1877 and Nancy J. FARRIS born 27 Aug 1832,died 8 March 1856.
Was Anna Rebeccah the wife of Eli SNYDER? Who was the FARRIS that married Nancy
J. SNYDER?
Also
seeking information on Lindsey and Elizabeth (or Nancy) FARRIS,
natives of Kentucky. In 1856 they became residents of Shawnee
County where he kept a store, called 'ranches' for the accommodation
of travelers, remained in that business until his death. Where
was this store? When and where was the death of Lindsey FARRIS?
